Ideas on Questions

So, basically my mind is going a mile minute. I was thinking about using technology in the classrooms and the impact that has had on our education system. Also, I was interested in censorship which kind of ties into technology. Students today have to be taught to think like editors, always critiqing, questioning, and analyzing what they are reading online. This is a whole new revolution in education. On the other hand I'd liked to talk about dialects in the classroom and the use of pop-culture to bridge those dialect gaps. Pop culture is like a universal language everyone knows something about it and everyone can relate to it in some way, shape or form. hmmm. These are all things to think about.

I really like your topic of technology because it is very prominent and we as teachers should be looking to it, but the idea of dialects is to interesting as well. Is there not a way you could tie the two together? Maybe Cindy could help you with that one? Perhaps since you have stated, "Students today have to be taught to think like editors, always critiqing, questioning, and analyzing what they are reading online" you could mention the ideas of students being taught on how to approach things that may seem automatically incorrect such as dialects. Just a thought. Good luck!

The topic of technology is a good one because it keeps expanding and we as future teachers are trying to learn how to keep up and use it to our advantage. Likewise, I would like to see where you go with the pop culture. I personally feel that everything revolves around pop culture these days. how would you use this to your advantage?
