Data Plan for Ethnography Paper

SO, I want to explore the effects of media and technology on students and the way they learn and then utilize technology and media to teach to them in a more effective way. I plan on using journals I have found on English Journal, Cindy has hooked me up with a teacher who is doing a similar moodle type class. Also, I want to use some interviews from my sibling who is a freshmen in High School at a "Technology School." Hopefully, this will be enough information to support my thesis.

Thoughts on Annotated Bibliography

I found a lot of journals and articles that really tied into my question and got me thinking about it in many different ways. For example, some articles used popular cultureas a way to cite and paraphrase in research papers, a thought I never had. Also, each article examined it in diffrent ways, some were just an analysis of effects of media on students, others used hip-hop as a way to teach poetry, others used media to examine cultures. I guess the gap I'm seeing in all of these is that they only examine or use one aspect in one specific example. I think it would be interesting to see what would happen if all examples were modified in a kind of using popular culture to teach all english aspects. One big bridge of education sort to speak. A bridge that would parallel the entire class in ways to navigate, relate, and take full advantage of this huge influence we call popular culture. Students are so exposed to it each and every day that it is a huge part of their life and if there was a way for educators to tap into that huge influence to help the education process along, just imagine the possibilities. I mean the students are exposed to these medias, they clearly love it, use it to help them love education.
